Who Am I? Depends on Who You Ask!
Hey Cuties,
I am back with another blog. So I gave my introduction about who I am according to myself. But let's be real there's no single version of me. Instead, countless versions of me are scattered in the minds of the people I meet. Each has its unique perception, shaped by moments, interactions and assumptions. The wildest part? I’ll never fully know how I’m seen through someone else’s eyes. But isn’t that the beauty of it all? The fact that we don’t know everything makes life, relationships, and even our identity a little more intriguing.
According to my family, I might be the daughter who is 19 but still doesn't know how to cook or for some, I am just a copy of my sister (just because we look similar). If you ask someone else, they might say I am a pretty helpful person and for someone, I might be a bratty person who doesn't call their relatives.
For my best friend, I am "Chaos Magnet". For people from college, I am "too extroverted". For my ex, I am a "Hot Mess". For the guy I like, I may be a “hopeless romantic”. For some acquaintances, I might be seen as the ambitious go-getter who's always moving forward, but to a close friend, I’m just the person they call when they need a laugh or a distraction from the serious stuff.
To my childhood teachers, I could be that shy student who rarely spoke up. while to my college professors, I might be the student who asks a thousand questions. I’m part of two groups with people older than me, and each group has a different take on who I am. One group views me as more mature than my age, while the other sees me as Nidhi’s little sister.
To some, I may be an abstract painting—difficult to decipher and full of depth. To others, I might be the playlist that brings them joy, always providing the perfect soundtrack to their moments. We’ll always be different things to different people, and that’s what makes it beautiful. Our presence in the world is fluid and ever-changing, not fixed. We can't control how others perceive us, and that’s perfectly fine. What truly matters is how we choose to see ourselves—that’s the version that counts.
Thank you for joining me on this journey through the many versions of myself. Let me know in the comments what version I am to you!
