People I Didn’t Know I Needed

Hi cuties! I’m back with another blog post, and this one is purely an appreciation post for my friends. I honestly don’t know where to start, but I’ve never really had great friendships during my school years. So I didn’t truly understand what a good friendship felt like until 11th grade. After that, I found some of the best people I now get to call my friends, and I feel incredibly lucky to have them in my life. I have this one friend , and we actually hated each other in school. But after we left school, we realised we were in the same boat and could have easily been best friends back then. Better late than never, I guess, because now she is my best friend. I’ve known her for almost 10 years, so she’s not just a friend, she’s family. And I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve lost my guest privilege at her house, and she’s lost hers in my life. With her, I say the most cancellable things. She judges me, but then says something even more cancellable, and we both laugh like idiots. Tha...

The City Of Dreams Or City That Never Sleeps

Hey Cuties,

I am back with another blog. Yes, you guessed it correctly. It's about Mumbai. Mumbai is like that friend who’s loud, a little messy, and always late, but somehow, you can’t imagine life without them. They’re chaos you just... get used to. You might complain about the rain, the crowd, the noise—but miss a single day, and you’re already craving that Vada pav by the sea.

Mumbai always takes a place in people's hearts. As messy as it looks, Mumbai has its sweet way to make you feel at home. Even when there will be zero space in a fully packed train, somehow you will always fit in. Mumbai locals are like free workout sessions. Locals itself is a whole film. You’ll witness dramatic moments when females are fighting, and then you’ll feel an unexpected sense of joy when a stranger helps you. There’s also that rush of fear as you think, “What if I fall?” And amidst all this, you capture love when you see a couple sharing earphones. Mumbai locals are a perfect Bollywood movie.

Mumbai doesn't disappoint when it comes to food. From expensive restaurants to the tastiest street food, you'll find it all. From the streets of Colaba to the lively markets of Bandra, every corner offers a culinary experience. One can savor tangy Chaat, indulge in fluffy dosas, or relish in biryani from local eateries. Vada pav in Mumbai is not just food but a love language. Mumbai unites people through shared tastes, and every meal here tells a story.

How could we possibly talk about Mumbai without mentioning its iconic rains? So yeah, I personally am not a big fan of Mumbai rains, but they have their own charm. There's a special feeling of happiness when you see kids jump in puddles, couples sharing umbrellas, and people enjoying rain while sitting near marine drives. Sipping chai and munching on pakoras in the rain is pure monsoon magic.

You can take someone out of Mumbai, but you cannot take Mumbai out of them. We might not have big bungalows and big houses, but our hearts are bigger than bungalows. One can live in the smallest 1-room kitchen but will be happiest. Mumbai locals can give you the best of friends, and Mumbai rains can make you fall in love with yourself. In the end, I'll just quote, "Zara hat ke zara bach ke Ye hai bambai meri jaan."

Thank you for joining me on this journey through Mumbai’s heart. I hope it brought a little bit of its magic to your day!
