People I Didn’t Know I Needed

Hi cuties! I’m back with another blog post, and this one is purely an appreciation post for my friends. I honestly don’t know where to start, but I’ve never really had great friendships during my school years. So I didn’t truly understand what a good friendship felt like until 11th grade. After that, I found some of the best people I now get to call my friends, and I feel incredibly lucky to have them in my life. I have this one friend , and we actually hated each other in school. But after we left school, we realised we were in the same boat and could have easily been best friends back then. Better late than never, I guess, because now she is my best friend. I’ve known her for almost 10 years, so she’s not just a friend, she’s family. And I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve lost my guest privilege at her house, and she’s lost hers in my life. With her, I say the most cancellable things. She judges me, but then says something even more cancellable, and we both laugh like idiots. Tha...

Lessons I Learned (When I Wasn’t Napping)

Hey Cuties,

I am back with another blog! What's todays blog about? Some lessons I learnt before turning 19. Boring, right? but it's Shruti's blog so expect some fun and sarcasm. So, let’s talk about those “serious” lessons life throws at you. These might just come in handy for you too. Let’s dive in, shall we?

 Lesson One: Don't Expect

“The most amazing things that can happen to a human being will happen to you, if you just lower your expectations.”

Phil Dunphy wasn’t just dropping a random line here—he was spitting facts! Expectations are such a human thing, right? We all have them, but sometimes they creep up and become the root of disappointment. Been there, done that.

I'll give y'all my example, For this birthday I tried as much as possible to not expect from people and just let things happen. Trust me when I say, this was one of the best birthday. I let go of trying to control the day or expecting others to make it special, and in return, the day felt more genuine, more fun.

Lesson Two: Karma’s Always Watching

You know how people always say, "What goes around, comes around"? Well, in my experience, Karma’s like a boomerang—and trust me, it always makes its way back, whether you’re ready for it or not.

Over the past year, I’ve seen people do me wrong, and oh boy, Karma? She did not hold back! I won’t spill the tea on all the examples (because we’re keeping it classy), but let’s just say I’ve seen Karma pull up with receipts. Do good, and good will follow you around like a loyal puppy. But do bad, and... well, let’s just say Karma knows how to hit where it hurts. There are days when Karma’s running late, but she’s definitely on her way—probably just stuck in traffic. She never misses a stop!

Lesson Three: Be Grateful

Okay, I’ll admit—I’m probably not the best person to lecture you on being grateful, because honestly, I can be an ungrateful brat sometimes. But hey, I’m working on it! Gratitude is super important, especially when life is unpredictable and can flip on you in a second.

There are days when I catch myself complaining about all the things I don’t have, completely forgetting how much I already do have. I’m lucky in so many ways, but it’s easy to overlook that. So, after reading this blog, take a second and be grateful for what’s already in your life. You never know when things could change!

These lessons might seem to be very basic and common but we tend to forget common stuff, right? Do implement if they make sense to you. well That's it for today. Thanks for tuning in—remember to add a little sparkle to every day!
